The former AT&T tower, located near Coburg at the intersection of Highway 48 and County Road 270, falls to the ground Friday afternoon. The tower's owner, Mark Blair of Stanton, contracted with Atlantic Recycling to take the tower down starting at 9 a.m. Friday. Initial estimates had the tower falling around 10 a.m., but a larger blow torch had to be secured, delaying the falling to 3:27 p.m. The legs were cut so the tower would fall to the south of the property, which it did without incident.
