3A District/Substate Brackets released

DES MOINES — The Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) released their 3A and 4A District/Substate Brackets for boys' basketball Monday.

The Red Oak Tigers will be a little closer to home this time around for the District semifinals. Red Oak will play the Atlantic Trojans in Atlantic on Feb. 20 at 7 p.m.

The Tigers will be competing in Class 3A Substate 1 of District 2. Should Red Oak win, they would travel to Council Bluffs at Abraham Lincoln High School on Feb. 23 to play the winner of Glenwood and Harlan.

The other teams facing off in the District 1 bracket of Substate 1 will be Denison-Schleswig @ Carroll and Bishop Heelan @ Sergeant Bluff-Luton.

The substate game between the two district winners will take place Feb. 27 at Denison-Schleswig High School.
