Bearcats sixth in preseason conference volleyball poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Northwest Missouri State Bearcats were selected as No. 6 in the 2011 Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Assocation (MIAA) Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll, released Aug. 3.

Northwest Missouri (39 points) was eight points away from taking Pittsburg State's spot in the top five for the poll.

Central Missouri currently sits at No. 1 in the preseason poll, receiving nine of 10 first place votes. Washburn, who is second in the poll, received the other first place vote.
