Five searches executed after six-month investigation

Fourteen people are facing a variety of drug-related charges and two others were charged with non-drug crimes after 23 law enforcement officers from five local agencies executed five search warrants in Red Oak on Thursday.

According to a press release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the arrests were the result of multiple narcotic investigations beginning in January 2017. The sheriff’s department, Red Oak Police Department, Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Iowa State Patrol, and Iowa DOT Enforcement agencies were involved.

The following locations had searches conducted and the following individuals were charged:

310 W. Washington

At 7:13 a.m., by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office: 

- Daniel B. Clemons, Jr., 37, Red Oak, three counts of delivery of methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine totaling more than 5 grams (Class B felony). Bond set at $100,000.

- Rebecca L. Clemons, 47, Red Oak, gathering where drugs are used (Class D felony). Bond set at $5,000.

- Brandon M. Borgmeyer, 22, Red Oak, gathering where drugs are used (Class D felony). Bond set at $5,000.

- Dani J. Traver, 20, Red Oak, gathering where drugs are used (Class D felony). Bond set at $5,000.

- Caleb R. Renn, 24, Red Oak, gathering where drugs are used (Class D felony). Bond set at $5,000.

704 E. Nuckols St.

At 7:31 a.m., by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office:

- No arrests were made at the location, but the release said Alexander Wiechmann, 23, of Red Oak, is wanted for multiple felony drug charges.

1011 Miller Ave.

At 7:39 a.m., by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office:

- Jessica A. Veik, 31, Red Oak, one count of delivery of marijuana (Class D felony). Bond was set at $5,000.

- Matthew J. Veik, 32, Red Oak, three counts of delivery of marijuana, one count of delivery of methamphetamine. Additional charges possible. Bond was set at $50,000.

308 N. 8th St.

At 7:50 a.m., by the Red Oak Police Department:

- Jeffery Dean Etter, 43, Red Oak, three counts of delivery of methamphetamine (Class C felony), one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver more than 5 grams (Class B felony). Further charges are possible. Bond was set at $100,000.

- Mary Helen Adams, 58, Red Oak, gathering where drugs are used (Class D felony). Bond set at $5,000.

- Abigail Jusdean Cook, 22, Red Oak, two counts of gathering where drugs are used (Class D felony). Bond set at $5,000.

205 W. Reed St.

At 12:02 p.m., by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office:

- Joseph Ryan Bredberg, 40, Red Oak, one count of delivery of methamphetamine (Class C felony), three counts of delivery of more than 5 grams of methamphetamine (Class B felony), one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver more than 5 grams (Class B felony), and possession of psilocybin mushrooms with intent to deliver (Class C felony). Bond was set at $100,000.

Later located in Red Oak and arrested were:

- Tommy J. Lovell, 40, Red Oak, at 9:23 a.m., charged with one count of delivery of methamphetamine (Class C felony). Bond was set at $50,000.

- Matthew D. Sloan, 33, Red Oak, at 9:40 a.m., charged with one count of delivery of more than 5 grams of methamphetamine (Class B felony). Bond was set at $100,000.

- Stephanie R. Eggleston, 24, Red Oak, at 10:20 a.m., on a warrant charging contempt of court. Bond was set at $5,000.

- Daniel Edward Miller, 36, of Elliott, at 2:50 p.m., one count of serious assault. Bond was set at $1,000.
