FMTC buys Villisca phone

MONTGOMERY COUNTY —  The Farmers Mutual Telephone Company of Stanton (FMTC) Board of Directors, along with the Villisca Farmers Telephone Company (VFTC) Board of Directors announced last week they have reached an agreement for FMTC to purchase VFTC.
Terms of the agreement are not being disclosed.
The date of the closing has not yet been established because regulatory approval is necessary.
FMTC General Manager Kevin Cabbage said the parties are confident of obtaining regulatory approval but it may take some time.
