Guitarist seeks musicians in the area

I am a guitarist in Red Oak seeking musicians in the area to form a "mature" heavy metal band. I have been playing for more than 30 years, I'm no virtuoso but no slouch either. I am very creative and have a good deal of original material in the works and I definitely want to be in a band that is geared towards originals, with some appropriate covers mixed in.
My influences include Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Judas Priest, Blind Guardian, Opeth, Iced Earth, King Diamond/Mercyful Fate, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Dio, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, Pantera, Alice In Chains, Dream Theater, Amorphis, Kings X.....geez there's too many to list here!
Ok, now you're wondering what I meant by a "mature" metal band. Simply put, a band that is as heavy as the most aggressive metal out there, but not afraid to have a softer side. Not a Firehouse or Poison kind of soft side, more of a Led Zeppelin soft side.
Above all, I am looking for people who want to make the same kind of music I do and are not afraid to turn a blind eye to what is "happening" on today's music scene, who are not overly concerned with what is popular out there. Our audience is out there, we just have to find a way to connect with them. Let's just be the band we want to be and play the songs we want to play and see where we can go with it.
