Lillian Landis, 93

Laura “Lillian” Landis, 93, of Griswold, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at the Griswold Care Center.

Lillian was born to Robert Moyer and Laura Elena (Clark) Landis Aug. 30, 1918, near Quaker Town, Pa.

She is preceded in death by her parents; children, Martha, Karen and Randall; sisters, Emily Shafer, Mildred George, Ruth Mombauer and Phebe Griffith; and a great-granddaughter.

Lillian is survived by her husband, Clarence Landis, of Griswold; children, Laura Amos, of Griswold, Sharon Kettelsen, of Verdon, Neb.,  Bill Landis, of Sycamore, Ill., and Marilyn Swanson, of Omaha; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m., at the Griswold United Methodist Church. Open visitation is at the Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold, Monday, until noon, and the Griswold United Methodist Church after 1 p.m. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., at the Griswold United Methodist Church on Monday, and Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Whipple Cemetery.
