Monday Night Scoreboard

Here are some scores from Monday night:

The Red Oak Tigers boys' basketball team lost to the Corning Red Raiders, 63-46. Andy Vial led the Tigers with nine points in the game. Red Oak's next game will be Friday night against Harlan.

The Stanton Viqueens got the win over Lenox Monday nigh, 71-20. Kara Allen scored a season high of 16 points to lead the Viqueens to victory.

Carmen Subbert had 14 points, while Rachel Sorensen scored 13. The Viqueens end the regular season with a 14-6 record. They open up Regionals Thursday night against East Mills.

The Stanton Vikings meanwhile lost to the Lenox Tigers, in the second half of the varsity doubleheader, 61-56.

Greg Focht had 14 points and 12 rebounds, giving the senior a double-double in the loss.

Stanton will play Friday night in Bedford for their final regular season game.

In Council Bluffs Monday night, Villisca swept Heartland Christian in a varsity doubleheader. The girls won 64-21, while the boys won 79-36.

No stats were available for the girls. For the boys, Travis Herzberg scored 22 points, with nine rebounds and eight assists, to lead the Blue Jays.
