Peterson and Shearer named Dimmitt Scholars at Morningside College

Emily Peterson, daughter of Wayne and Susan Peterson of Red Oak and Krystall Shearer, daughter of Robert Shearer of Emerson were named Dimmitt Scholars at Morningside College in recognition of high academic distinction for the 2008-09 academic year.

Peterson, a senior who is majoring in chemistry, is a past graduate of Stanton High School.

Shearer, junior who is majoring in English, is a past graduate of Nishna Valley Community High School.
