Sports Calendar: Tuesday, February 7

This may as well be considered the last Tuesday of the regular season for a lot of area teams. The postseason starts for some this week. This season went by so fast.

Bowling: Red Oak vs. St. Albert @ Red Oak Lanes- 3:30 p.m.

This is the rematch from...last week. The girls' team will try and finish their season with an undefeated record. Though the boys' team has one loss, they'll look to finish the regular season strong.

After this, both team's have more than a week before the State Qualifying meet, which will take place in Red Oak. The meet takes place at 1 p.m. Feb. 16.

Girls Basketball: Red Oak vs. Audubon @ Red Oak High School- 7:30 p.m.

Both teams are coming off losses from Friday night. Red Oak enters their final week with a chance to keep their momentum going into Regionals. they'll play an Audubon team that had won eight straight games, prior to their loss to Missouri Valley.

Kate Walker will look to finish with four straight games of 10 points or more. Walker is currently second on the team in scoring with 9.7 points per game.

Lacy Vokt will be the player to watch for Audubon. The senior averages 15.2 points per game. Vokt scored 27 points against West Central Valley on Dec. 10, which has been her best game thus far this season.

Red Oak does have one more game Friday night, which will be against Harlan.

Girls Basketball: Villisca vs. North Nodaway @ North Nodaway High School in Missouri- 7:30 p.m.

This will be Villisca's last game before Regionals begin Thursday night. Villisca has won three straight games, their most recent being against Heartland Christian Monday night.

North Nodaway meanwhile has won their last two games. They defeated West Nodaway on Friday night.

Basketball Doubleheader: Essex vs. Diagonal @ Diagonal High School- 6 p.m.

Both teams look to close out the regular season with wins. They'll play Diagonal teams that have won a combined four games this season (3-girls, 1-boys).

Boys Basketball: Griswold vs. South Page @ South Page High School- 7:30 p.m.

The Tigers look to end a six-game losing skid and close out the regular season with a win against South Page.

Boys Basketball: East Mills vs. Riverside @ Riverside High School in Oakland- 7:30 p.m.

East Mills has a six game winning streak going, defeating the likes of Fremont-Mills, Clarinda Academy and Nishnabotna. They'll play a Riverside team that has won 10 straight games.
