Yamma Ensemble member Yonnie Dror plays one of his rare woodwind instruments during a workshop with Red Oak High School students in the high school auditorium last Wednesday morning. The Ensemble stayed in Red Oak for the week, taking part in workshops at schools, the First Congregational Church and the Montgomery County Family YMCA. They performed Saturday night at the Wilson Performing Arts Center.
Ensemble wraps up tour with stop in Red Oak

RED OAK — Talya G.A. Solon was standing in the hallway outside one of the practice rooms at the Wilson Performing Arts Center last Tuesday, when several shy young ballet dancers slowly approached. Solon saw them approach and the girls said they enjoyed the show.

The ballet dancers saw a performance of Solon and her musical group, the Yamma Ensemble of Israel, earlier that day.

“What did you like the most,” Solon asked the dancers.

The girls responded they enjoyed the music
