Nursery rhyme update

To the Editor:

Humpty Trumpty promised a wall.

Humpty Trumpty had a great fall.

All of his money and all of his men

Couldn’t put Humpty Trumpty together again.

So then he lied and he lied

While the poor children cried.

And slowly, quietly ... democracy died.

Moral of the story: Democracy cannot be taken for granted. Vigilance is paramount. We must never be lulled (or tricked) into complacency by an autocratic plutocrat.
