Mills County flood meeting Sunday in Glenwood

An informational community meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24, in the Glenwood High School Auditorium for Mills County residents affected by the flooding.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide information on the current status of flooding, available resources, health and safety, the FEMA process and the next steps.

Mills County officials have established an official flood hotline for affected individuals. Residents can call (712) 520-4000 with questions or donations. Those wishing to volunteer can sign-up online.

Lastly, county officials will be setting up a central location at the Mills County YMCA beginning Saturday to streamline and coordinate flood relief efforts. Free, hot meals will be served from 7-9 a.m.; 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4-7 p.m., in addition to up-to-date information, showers, conversation and community support.
