Sports Calendar: June 26

We have another busy evening on the sports calendar. There are chances of showers and thunderstorms, but as of now, everything is still on as scheduled.

The Red Oak baseball team will be home Friday evening for a varsity doubleheader versus Lewis Central. The action starts at 5:30 p.m.

The Tigers also make up their triangular against Missouri Valley and Southwest Valley on Saturday starting at noon.

Meanwhile, the Red Oak softball team will be on the road and busy with the Abraham Lincoln Invitational in Council Bluffs both Friday and Saturday.

In Corner Conference action, the Essex Trojanettes have an opportunity to clinch the conference championship outright Friday evening when they host East Mills. Essex clinched itself a share Thursday night thanks to their win over Sidney. The varsity softball game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start. The baseball game is scheduled to follow around 7:30 p.m.

Both Stanton teams look to recover from losses to Fremont-Mills when they go to Hamburg for a doubleheader against Nishnabotna. The action starts at 6 p.m.

The Griswold softball team will go on the road Friday evening for a JV/varsity doubleheader against Sidney starting at 6 p.m.

Finally, Southwest Valley goes on the road Friday evening for JV/varsity doubleheaders against Southeast Warren starting at 6 p.m.
