Early start for East Mills at Bruce Jenner Invite

 

LAMONI – Only one champion for the East Mills Wolverines at the Bruce Jenner Indoor Invitational Saturday.
Senior Jake Bolton scorched the track in the 200-meter dash, running it in 00:24.36 to take first place.
Bolton was also a part of the Wolverines’ fourth-place finishing 1,600-meter medley relay (4:12.69), with Nick Pittmon, Luke Schafer, and Jake Doyle, and the eighth-place 4x100-meter relay (00:50.27) with Pittmon, Eric Taylor, and Caleb Barney.
Pittmon, a freshman, also finished fifth in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.04 seconds in his varsity track debut.
Schafer along with Kaleb Richter, Ethan Stephens, and Daniel Duysen finished fifth in the 4x800 meter relay, running it in 9:25.80.
Dylan Larsen finished sixth in shot put, throwing 40 feet, eight inches.
The girls finished second in the 4x200-meter relay with Amy Walker, Shelby Somerla, Megan Dickersbach, and Kara Helbling running it in 2:00.86. Helbling finished the open 200 fifth (00:30.01).
Sommerla finished seventh in the 1,500-meter run (5:57.11) and eighth in the high jump (four feet, six inches).
Walker, Helbling, Dickersbach, and Sam Shores ran to a sixth place finish in the 4x100-meter relay (00:58.26).

Jensen Duysen took seventh throwing the shot put 28 feet, one inch.
