Knights win Corner golf title
East Mills shot a team score of 372 to finish second at the Corner Conference Golf Tournament title at Red Oak Country Club last Wednesday.
Fremont-Mills won the conference title with a score of 361, 11 strokes better than the Wolverines. Hamburg was third with a round of 399 and Griswold fourth with a 406.
Hamburg’s Keith Thompson shot a 72 to win the conference title. Anderson Bakehouse shot an 82 for East Mills to finish as the runner-up.
Rowen Howe led five Fremont-Mills golfers in the top 13 with a score of 84.
Beau Burdic added a 96, Zayne Graybill a 96, Cooper Hagen a 98 and Mason Camden a 101 to complete East Mills’ scoring.
Brayden Lockwood shot a 91 to pace Griswold. Nollan Smith shot a 94, Colten Taylor a 107, Callen Keiser a 114, Calden Turner a 115 and Cedrick Victor a 123.
Essex was led by Brody Kirchert’s round of 111.
