• Red Oak Rehab and Care Center honors Terri Hangar

    Red Oak Rehab and Care Center (RORCC) recognizes its employees who have excelled in their responsibilities and their ability to give our customers quality care with respect, dignity and kindness.  

    Terri Hanger was awarded the Service That Applauds Red Oak (STAR) of the Quarter for Apr - Jun 2010.  Terri serves as the Business Office Manager and was nominated by her coworkers for the STAR award.
    Terri received a STAR pin and certificate, $50 in Red Oak Chamber Bucks, RORCC jacket and a reserved parking space for three months.

  • ECC Manager named

    The Essex Community Club Officers announce the hiring of Craig Schroeder as ECC Manager.
    Craig Schroeder is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater.  
    Craig’s fiancée is Maria Rollins the newly hired 3rd Grade teacher for Essex.  Maria is moving to Essex in August prior to the start of school.  
    Craig’s skills with people, computers, marketing, and his general enthusiasm convinced the ECC Officers that he would be a very good fit with our organization.  

  • Ahrens promoted

    Ryan Ahrens was named new assistant grocery manager of Fareway in Red Oak. Ahrens has been employed with Fareway for almost 13 years. Ahrens and his wife Megan will be living in town. “I look forward to getting to know all of you,” Ahrens said.

  • Morrical awarded

    Koala T-Care Child Development Center announced their director, Jacqueline Morrical was awarded National Administrator Credential on April 30.
    She was awarded this credential after successfully fulfilling the prescribed requirements and demonstrating the mastery of administrative skills necessary for this achievement.

  • Burnison promoted

    WEST DES MOINES – Jeffrey L. Burnison has become 2010-2011 president of the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants (ISCPA). Burnison is finance director of PROaccess Genetics, a subsidiary of Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc., in Johnston. Last year, Burnison served as vice president of ISCPA.
    On May 14, Burnison emceed the leadership training session and was elected president at the annual meeting of ISCPA.

  • Boylan honored by peers

    Michael D. Boylan, retired funeral director from Red Oak, was honored for 40 years of dedication to funeral service during the 130th Annual Iowa Funeral Directors Association (IFDA) Convention held May 11-13, at the Iowa State Center and Gateway Hotel in Ames, Iowa.

  • DeForest joins Fareway

    Brent DeForest, 25, originally from Osceola, was recently transferred to Fareway in Red Oak from Iowa City. DeForest has a B.S. in broadcasting with a minor in business from NorthwestMissouriStateUniversity. He has worked for Fareway for nine years.

    The Montgomery County Family YMCA announced that Stacey Von Dielingen, Christy Bennett, Tammy Ernst, Sabrina Johnson, Debbie Pappas and Chandra Welbon are the Volunteers of the Month for May.

  • ESGR honors Jerry Hansen with award

    Jerry Hansen Receives National Recognition for Outstanding Performance in Support of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Mission
