INCIDENTS
- On Dec. 15, 2014, at about 1:48 a.m., the Montgomery Count Sheriff’s Office recovered a stolen 1997 Chrysler Concorde owned by Jessica Cesar, Red Oak, on 270th Street just west of Q Avenue. The vehicle, which was reported stolen on Dec. 12, was towed to Red Oak.
ACCIDENTS
- On Dec. 18 at about 7:48 a.m. Red Oak Police Department investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Reed and Broad Streets. A 2007 BMW driven by Brett Alan Black, 49, Red Oak, did not yield the right of way to Connie Loyce McAlpin, 64, Red Oak, driving a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. Black stated that he was distracted by a dog or cat in the street and did not notice McAlpin’s vehicle. McAlpin was unable to stop due to snow on the street, and her car was struck by Black’s. Black was not cited for the yield sign violation due to road conditions but was found to be operating under the influence and was charged accordingly. McAlpin’s vehicle was drivable, and Black’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
