ACCIDENTS

  • On Feb. 18 at about 3:42 p.m. Red Oak Police officers responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 2nd and Valley Streets. Carol Olivas, 45, Red Oak, driving a 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager, failed to yield at the intersection and struck a 2002 Chevy Silverado pick-up driven by Markus Johnson, 39, Red Oak. Damage to Olivas’ vehicle was estimated at $2,600 and to Johnson’s vehicle at $1,800.  Olivas was cited with failure to yield to vehicle on the right.
