INCIDENTS

  • On April 3, at about 3:11 p.m., Red Oak Police officers responded to a burglary at 510 W. Coolbaugh St.. There was forced entry into the building. Evidence was recovered from the scene and the investigation continues.
  • On April 3 at about 3:39 p.m., Red Oak Police officers responded to a burglary at 705 E. Hillcrest Dr. Several items were taken from the residence, but a full list is pending the owners’ inventory. There was no apparent forced entry, and it was unoccupied at the time of the burglary.

ACCIDENTS

  • On March 31, at about 6:11 p.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hammond and 4th Streets.  Kyla Gass, 16, Red Oak, driving a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier, was traveling west on Hammond Street and had stopped at the intersection and then proceeded through the intersection, striking a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT driven by Andrew Parker, 20, Red Oak. Damage to the Gass vehicle was estimated at $600, while damage to Parker’s vehicle was about $1,000.
