Incidents
- On May 28, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigated a burglary at the Anderson Conservation Building located at 2059 190th St. It was found that sometime between May 24 and May 28, someone had entered the building and taken a computer from the office area. There was no damage to the building and the loss was estimated at $1,6545.
- On May 24, at 8 p.m., deputies of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office took a report from Raymond Duane Vannausdle, 36, Villisca, of a stolen 2006 aluminum Transcraft Eagle flatbed trailer carrying 34 large round hay bales. The trailer was last seen parked on North U Ave. of Villisca at about 7 p.m. The estimated total loss is $35,000.
Accidents
- On May 26, at 11:40 a.m., the stop light in front of the Red Oak Fire Station was red so the ambulance could respond to a call. A 1996 Chevy Blazer owned by Kyle Liford and driven by Charles Liford, 49, Red Oak, was stopped for the red light. A 1998 Chevy Blazer owned by Jose Ramos and driven by Salvador Ramos, 36, Red Oak, was unable to stop before striking the rear of Liford’s Blazer. There were no injuries reported at the time of this report. Ramos was cited for following too close. Liford’s Blazer sustained $2,700 damage; Ramos’ Blazer sustained $3,000 damage.
