5/10K Run/Walk to be held to raise funs for LIFE 2013

Twenty-two high school youth from Faith Community Church in Red Oak, along with race director Angie McKee, will be hosting a 5K/10K Run and 5K Health Walk on Saturday, June 8 at 8 a.m. starting at Faith Community Church. 

No late registration will be accepted after 7:45 a.m. on the day of the race. 

There will be homemade pies given to the top winners in each run category as well as prizes for the top male and female runners in each.

Slices of pie will be available for a free will donation to all attending the run/walk and spectators.

These 22 students along with four adults will be raising money to attend the week long 2013 Youth LIFE Conference in St. Louis in July 2013.

The LIFE 2013 youth conference exists to create an EPIC environment (experiential, participatory, image driven and community focused) where high school students will experience God and are challenged to expand His Kingdom. 

During this week long event, students’ days are filled with Christian speakers, seminars for students, bands and opportunities to serve the St. Louis community.
