Incidents

• Sometime between 4 p.m. June 6 and early morning June 7, the maintenance shed at Sunbest Papetti Farms, 2975 265th St., Villisca, was broken into. More than $3,000 worth of tools were loaded into a Kubota utility vehicle and driven to T Avenue and unloaded into another vehicle. The Kubota was left on the railroad access road. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-432-1001.

Accidents

• On June 4, at 2:38 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of N. 5th Street and E. Nuckols Street on a report of a two-vehicle, property-damage accident. Upon arrival, a 2001 Saturn L200, driven by Shannon Seekings, 40, Red Oak, was facing south in the northeast corner of the intersection. A 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo, driven by Laryn Edds, 19, Red Oak, was facing north in the middle of the intersection. Seekings was eastbound on E. Nuckols Street and had entered the intersection. When he was nearly through the intersection, he was struck by Edds, who was northbound on N. 5th Street. There were no reported injuries. Seekings’ vehicle was towed from the scene.
