60th Anniversary

Tom and Betty (Scott) Mewhirter celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Nov. 20.
They were married at the First Methodist church in Red Oak. Tom and Betty now reside in Chapel Hill, N.C.
They were joined in this celebration by daughter Debra and husband Steve Straw of Johnston, and son Greg and wife Jennie (Kewin) Mewhirter of Tampa, Fla. The couples enjoyed a long weekend in Point Clear, Ala.
