INCIDENTS

• Red Oak Police are looking for Jacob Cochran, 33, Red Oak in connection with an incident Aug. 29 at  2:15 in the 200 block of North 4th Street. Cochran, who fled the scene, is facing charges of burglary first degree, domestic abuse assault with bodily injury. Anyone found harboring Cochran may also face charges.

ACCIDENTS

• On Aug. 17 at about 9:19 p.m., Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a single vehicle accident on 110th Street just west of Grant. A 1997 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Terry Evans, 73, Corning, was sitting in the traveled portion of 110th Street with its flashers on while Evans had been putting cattle back in the fence and closing the gate. Michael Webb, 56, Red Oak, driving a 2013 Chevrolet Impala, was traveling west on 110th, crested the hill, took evasive action to avoid the Evans vehicle and entered the ditch. Damage to Webb’s vehicle was estimated at $2,500. Charges are pending at this time.
• On Aug. 24, at 2:36 p.m., Red Oak Police officers investigated an accident at the intersection of 4th and Elm Streets. Ronald Updegrove, 18, Red Oak, driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix, was traveling north on 4th Street and was struck in the intersection by a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan, owned by Kelley Kindt and operated by Morgan Akers, 20, Red Oak. Akers had not seen Updegrove’s vehicle when she slowed for the yield sign. Damages to Updegrove’s vehicle were about $2,000, and damage to the Aker vehicle was estimated at $2,600.
• On Aug. 27, at 12:15 p.m., the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office investigated a two-vehicle property damage accident at 1423 J Ave. Eugene Hardy, Red Oak, operating a 2014 Volvo gravel truck owned Schildberg Construction was traveling south and tried to turn in to the Schildberg rock quarry while Donald Gourley, Exira, driving a Peterbuilt semi tractor trailer was exiting the rock quarry to the north. Gourley’s vehicle struck Hardy’s vehicle, causing it $3,500 damage. Damage to Gourley’s vehile was about $1,500. There were no citations or injuries.
