ACT Prep Course Available at SWCC

RESTON — The Trio Educational Talent Search (ETS) program at Southwestern Community College is offering free ACT Test Prep Courses for all ETS high school participants the morning of Jan. 9, 2010.

Two options are available for students who attend: Option 1 – 8 a.m. to noon. Students who choose Option 1 will be participating in a mock exam consisting of the same conditions as the official ACT exam. Option 2 – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students who choose Option 2 will attend two break-out sessions of their choice (math, English or science).

Lunch will be provided to all registrants. The deadline for signing up will be Jan 8. Students can sign up through their ETS advisor or by calling (800) 247-4023, ext. 392, or locally at (641) 782-1392.

Trio Educational Talent Search is 100 percent federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education. More than 800 students in nine schools are served by the ETS program.
