Anna M. Beeson, 95

Anna M. Beeson, 95, died Oct. 12, 2009.

Anna Mae Welch Bellis Beeson was born June 12, 1914 in Louisa County to Arthur and Rachel (Newman) Welch. She was raised in Coburg by her adoptive parents, Josephine and Jefferson Bellis. On Feb. 19, 1936, she married Edward Beeson in Red Oak. Ed and Anna farmed in Humboldt and Montgomery counties. In 1987 they moved to Benson, Ariz. She was active in her local Catholic Church. Anna Mae was a volunteer at the Benson Library, Museum and other organizations.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ed, son Mike Beeson, infant daughter Therese, great-grandson Joseph Stein and son-in-law Gordon Lonning.

She is survived by her children, Julie (Gordon) Lonning of Ore., Gerry (John) Pederson, Tom (Betty) Beeson of Wash., Jack (Diane) Beeson of Nev., Ann (Gary) Malkhasian of Calif., Jim (Barb) Beeson of Ill., Kathy Beeson, Patricia Beeson of Minn., 23 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
