Atlanticfest Road Race starts this Saturday

ATLANTIC — The annual Atlanticfest Road Race will take place this Saturday morning in Atlantic.

There will be three races, a five-mile and two-mile run, as well as a walk.

The five-mile run begins at 8 a.m., with the two-mile run starting at 8:06. The walk will begin at 8:12.

There are plenty of chances to win prizes at the race, to go along with trophies and plaques.

Some of the possible special prizes include youngest and oldest walkers and runners, person coming from the farthest distance and free breakfast to the family with most participants.

There is an early entry deadline, as entries received after Aug. 7 will be charged an extra $2.

The cost for the runs is $10.50, which includes a T-shirt. Without the t-shirt, the price is $5.

The entry fee for the walk is $9.50 with the shirt and $4 without.
However, dry-fit t-shirts are also available for the first time this year.

The entry fee would be $14 with the dry-fit shirt for  the run and $13 for the walk.
