Basketball clinics continue at YMCA

 The Montgomery County Family YMCA, in cooperation with Red Oak girls varsity Basketball coach, Dan Martinez, hosted a 3rd–6th Grade Girls Basketball Clinic Saturday.

The clinic was free of charge with youth coaches and parents also invited to attend. More than 25 girls were in attendance and took part in various team and individual drills that the Red Oak High School team uses during its practices. The clinic was a follow-up to the three day Tiger Girl’s Basketball Camp held at the end of October.

Assisting Coach Martinez were high school assistants Patty Henke and Chris Gilbert, middle school coaches John Walker and Brian Mensen plus various members of the 2014-15 varsity basketball team. 

A free 3rd -6th grade boys clinic will be held this Saturday from 10 a.m. – noon at the YMCA under the direction of Red Oak boys varsity Head Coach Theo Fundermann.
