City of Red Oak appointments

The City of Red Oak would like to notify the public that there will be appointments and/or reappointments to several Commissions or Boards with the City of Red Oak. These appointments and/or reappointments will be effective Jan. 1, 2010 with varying lengths of term.

If you are interested in being considered for one of these non-pay positions, please stop by City Hall, 601 N 6th Street, to obtain a form for submission. Interested individuals must have their completed nomination to City Hall by Dec. 14, 2009.

Appointments and/or reappointments will be made to the following Commissions and Boards:

*Low Rent Housing

*Planning and Zoning Commission

*Historical Commission

*Airport Commission

*Downtown Urban Renewal Board

*Park & Tree Board

By State Law, the City must be working toward gender balanced Boards and Commissions so both male and female are encouraged to apply.
