Clarence Lowell Rucker, 86

Clarence Lowell Rucker, 86, Red Oak, died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Society in Red Oak.

Clarence Lowell Rucker was born Sept. 9, 1926, in Clarinda, the son of Clarence and Florence (Bramble) Rucker. He served in the United States Army during WWII.

He married Mary Irene Graham May 2, 1945, in Troy, Kan. Lowell and Mary lived in many different places over the years. They moved back to southwest Iowa in 1964.

Lowell retired from Dolly Madison when they were living in Lincoln, Neb. Lowell was a resident of the Good Samaritan Society in Red Oak for the past six years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Mary; two brothers, Don and Lee Rucker; and a grandson, Chad Rucker.

Survivors include his children, Larry Rucker and wife Phyllis of Clarinda, Linda McAlpin and husband Dick of Red Oak, and Lisa Hernandez of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Rucker and wife Dorothy of Bedford and Keith Rucker and wife Jo of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two sisters, Pat Macrander of Ashland, Neb. and Betty Waltermyer of Fremont, Neb.; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Graveside memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Methodist Grove Cemetery near Nodaway.
