Clarinda man struck by semi

 Joey Clark McComb, 50, of Clarinda was killed around 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 9 on Highway 71 after being struck by a 2011 Peterbilt.

A report from the Iowa State Patrol said Justin Wayne Nall, 35, of Savannah, was driving the semi northbound on Highway 71 near Nodawayy Valley Park when McComb McComb walked into the southbound lane and then walked back into the northbound lane, colliding with Nall. McComb was transported to the Clarinda Regional Health Center where he was pronounced dead. Nall was not injured.
