Jones earns BA from University of Iowa
Dustin Jones, a native of Red Oak, earned a BA-Computer Science degree from the University of Iowa at the close of the spring 2016 semester.
Focht graduates from
Wartburg College
Wartburg College awarded diplomas to 331 graduates at its commencement ceremony Sunday, May 22.
Gregory Focht of Stanton graduated with a degree in Biology. He is the son of Lori Peterson and Rod Focht.
Another 41 students are expected to graduate in August. Thirty-five members of the Class of 2016 graduated in December.
Wartburg, a four-year liberal arts college internationally recognized for community engagement, enrolls 1,537 students. Wartburg is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and named after the castle in Germany where Martin Luther took refuge disguised as a knight during the stormy days of the Reformation while translating the Bible from Greek into German.
Students earn degrees from Buena Vista
In May 2016, Lauren Burke from Stanton graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing from Buena Vista University. Burke attended Buena Vista University Council Bluffs.
In May 2016, Charlie Ruff from Emerson graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science from Buena Vista University, which is based in Storm Lake.
