Dale Gard, 89

Dale L. Gard, 89, Emerson, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

Dale Leslie Gard was born Jan. 12, 1924, in Wales, the son of Marion and Frances (Scherer) Gard.

He married Beverly Goforth in 1994 in St. Joseph, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Gard of Emerson; step-children, Bill Goforth of Orlando, Bob Goforth of Corning and Pam Caruso of Emerson; and two sisters, Marian Beckmann of Independence, Mo. and Doris Achenbach of Coburn, Colo.

A Masonic service was at Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel.  Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
