David W. Edie, 57

David W. Edie, 57, of Avoca, formerly of Malvern, on June 13, 2009, at his home.

David Wayne Edie, one of five sons of Hazel Marie (Clark) Edie and Edwin

Dale Edie, was born in Council Bluffs, on Aug. 11, 1951. He grew up in Malvern. David and Loretta Faye Erichsen of Red Oak were married and blessed with two children, William Dale and Kristy Ann.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Ed Edie and brother, Mark Edie.

David is survived by his children, William (Leah) Edie of Atlantic, Kristy (Mike) Walker of Walnut, and James (Brittany) Edie of Westminster, Md.; brothers, Danny (Linda) Edie of Shenandoah, John (Donna) Edie of St. Louis, Mo. and Robert (Lisa) Edie of Independence, Mo.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services were held on June 17 at Mansfield-Hertz Funeral Home with Pastor Gordon Scott officiating. Interment was in Malvern Cemetery.

Following interment, fellowship with the family was held at the Malvern United Methodist Church.

A memorial fund has been established.
