Dean’s Lists
Iowa State University College of Human Science
The Iowa State University College of Human Science’s dean’s list honors students who have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of 2017.
Local students who made the list in the spring of 2017 include:

• Villisca: Jill Vanderhoof, family and consumer sciences education and studies.
University of Nebraska - Lincoln
The University of Nebraska - Lincoln has released the names of students who have been named to the dean’s list/Explore Center list of distinguished students for the fall semester of the 2017-18 academic year.
All qualifying grade-point averages are based on a four-point scale and a minimum of 12 or more graded semester hours.
• Red Oak: Lauren Gilbert, Explore Center list of distinguished students, Explore Center, pre-health.
• Red Oak: Christian Horn, dean’s list, College of Journalism and Mass Communications, journalism, and sports media and communication.
Des Moines Area Community College
Des Moines Area Community College President Rob Denson recently released the names of students eligible for the fall semester dean’s list. To be eligible, a student must have completed a minimum of six credits and earned a 3.5 to 3.99 grade point average for that semester
Area students who were recognized include:
• Red Oak: Maria Pendleton, Horticulture.
• Red Oak: Sierra Petty, Photography.
• Emerson: Kameron Wederquist, Agribusiness.
Mercy College of Health Sciences
Casaundra Currin of Villisca has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines.
To qualify for this academic recognition, students must attain a grade point average (GPA) between 3.50 and 3.749, in their most recent semester, for a minimum of six credit hours.
