Dorotha Peterson, 84

Dorotha E. Peterson, 84, of Red Oak, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012, at the Red Oak Rehab & Care Center.

Dorotha E. Douthit Peterson was born to Lawrence and Alice (Brooks) Ingram Feb. 15, 1928, in New Market.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert Douthit; and siblings, Alvin, Eldon, Lowell and Marjorie.

Dorotha is survived by her husband, Arvid Peterson, of Red Oak; children, Robert Link, of New Market, Carolyn Kay Johnson, of Thornton, Donald Douthit, of Clarinda, Donna Lilly, of Clarinda, Kenneth Douthit, of Red Oak, and David Douthit, of Neosho, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will take place at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak.

Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
