Drug bust results in felony arrests

 Red Oak police arrested two men last week on multiple felony charges following a “lengthy” narcotics investigation involving purchases by a confidential informant. 

Jason Kyzer, 32, and Joshua Morrison, 37, both of Red Oak, are currently in custody in the Mont-gomery County Law Enforcement Center on $100,000 bond after their arrest Wednesday.

Police executed search warrants at Kyzer and Morrison’s homes in the 400 block of North 4th Street and the 1000 block of East Reed Street at about 11 p.m. 

As a result of the search, Kyzer was arrested on three felony methamphetamine charges (possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy to delivery, and delivery of) and one felony charge of delivery of marijuana. Morrison faces the same four felony charges, along with two others: possession of cocaine and delivery of a controlled substance. 

According to court records, both Morrision and Kyzer sold 8.5 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant Jan. 29 for $600 in pre-marked bills. Those records indicate this is Morrison’s sixth cocaine arrest. 

After searching Morrison’s residence, police also arrested Stacie Ranson, 28, of Red Oak, for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
