Eagles Club hosts Poker Run Benefit
The Red Oak Fraternal Order of Eagles #2715 will host a Charity Poker Run Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Red Oak Eagles. Proceeds will benefit the Jimmy Durante Children’s Fund and the event is open to the public.
The ride will begin in Stanton and travel to five stops before ending at the Red Oak Eagles located at 200 E. Washington Ave. Stops will include McGrill in Corning, Junction Cafe in Bedford, Ice House in Clarinda, Depot Deli in Shenandoah and Spanky’s in Emerson.
The Red Oak Eagles will open at 3 p.m., with drawings, dinner, live music and dancing.
Cost to enter is $10 at registration. Additional cards are available for $2 each and a seven card hand may be purchased at the last stop for $15. Prizes in the amount of $50 will be awarded for high and low hand. Registration opens at 10 a.m., and continues until 1 p.m., at Susie’s Kitchen in Stanton.
