Edward J. ‘Ed’ England, 84, Hooper, Neb., died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at the Hooper Care Center.
Ed was born April 15, 1929, in Red Oak to Eddie and Ada ‘Fike‘ England. He was raised and attended school in Red Oak.
In 1950, Ed married Joyce Harper and they lived in Las Animas, Colo. Ed worked various jobs before beginning to work for the Las Animas Public Schools. In 1996, they divorced and Ed moved back to Red Oak. He has been a resident of Hooper for about three years.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Dale England.
He is survived by four daughters, Sheila and husband Willie Burns of Bolivar, Mo., Connie and husband Lonnie Burch of Red Oak, Dona England of Las Animas and Tracey Pryor of Pueblo, Colo.; four sons, Stanley England of Las Animas, Michael and wife Terry England of Pueblo, Brian and wife Paddy England of La Junta, Colo. and Andrew England of Colorado Springs; a daughter-in-law, Linda England of Wichita, Kan.; and a special friend, Norma Thayer of Hooper.
There will be no formal services at this time.
