Essex loses to Stanton, South Page

ESSEX — The Essex Trojans basketball team lost both of their games last week, as they head into the holiday break.

Essex’s most recent loss came against the Stanton Vikings on Friday night, 48-38.

Last Tuesday, Essex lost to South Page in College Springs, 46-34.
Zach Dailey scored 10 points with 14 rebounds (seven offensive) to get the double-double for the Trojans.

Jones was two points shy of a double-double, as he grabbed 10 rebounds.

Allen scored seven points, while Justin Moyer and Brett Johnson had five and four, respectively.

The Trojans enter the break with a 1-7 record.

They'll be back in action on Jan. 5 when they take on Heartland Christian in Council Bluffs.

The Essex Trojanettes lost their only game they competed in last week to the Stanton Viqueens, 68-28 Friday night in Essex.

The Trojanettes enter their holiday break with a 3-4 record for the season.

They’ll be back in action Jan. 5 when they travel to Council Bluffs to play Heartland Christian.
