Extension to offer class for concession workers
Montgomery County Extension will be offering a program entitled “Safe Foods Concessions Stand,” June 15, from noon-12:50 p.m., and June 22, from noon-12:50 p.m., at the Montgomery County Extension Office.
The same program will run both times, with the objectives of teaching volunteer and paid food stand workers why proper food handling, cleaning and sanitizing are important and convincing food stand workers to practice safe food handling, cleaning and sanitizing practices in the operation of their organization’s food stand.
This program is appropriate for any audience providing or selling food to consumer groups.
Participants will learn the importance of and be able to practice safe food handling practices at the end of the program.
There is no cost to participate and pre-registeration is not necessary. Just show up.
