Farm Credit Services distributes $2.4M to producers

RED OAK — Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) stockholders in the Harlan/Red Oak area, which includes: Adair, Adams, Audubon, Cass, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, Ringgold, Shelby, Taylor, and Union counties, are receiving cash patronage payments totaling about $2.4 million this month.
The 2009 cash patronage distribution to eligible FCSAmerica stockholders in Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming is $48.90 million.
“More than simply having financial strength, patronage allows us to share it with our stockholders who helped build it,” said President and CEO Doug Stark. “We appreciate the dedication and loyalty of those who were a part of our success.”

Corby Fichter, FCSAmerica’s Vice-President in Red Oak & Harlan added, “The patronage program is a great benefit available to area producers and the communities in which they live. Many of the producers will spend the money locally, adding an economic benefit to the entire region.”
