Fire prevention week begins October 7

The men and women of the Red Oak Fire Department are preparing for this year’s upcoming Fire Prevention week, which will begin Oct. 7 with our annual open house. It is with our great pleasure and excitement to invite you and your family to join the Red Oak Fire Department Family for this event. The open house will take place Sunday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Red Oak Fire Station located at 1904 N. Broadway.

The Red Oak Fire Department staff will be serving pancakes and sausage. The Mercy One emergency medical transport helicopter with their staff will be on location beginning at 11 a.m. Awards and recognitions will begin at noon. This year’s fire prevention message will be “Back to the Basics.” This message will provide you and your family with a simple approach to combat and prevent the potential loss from fire.
