Five arrested on alcohol charges

The holiday weekend ended poorly for five Montgomery County residents who were arrested on various alcohol charges late Saturday night.

According to a press release issued by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office, acting on a tip from an anonymous party, deputies investigated a report of minors drinking alcohol Saturday at a rural Montgomery county residence.

Upon arrival, deputies conducted chemical testing and determined four teenagers had been drinking alcohol.

Those arrested included Jordan Williams, 18, of Stanton, and Shelby Wagg, 17, of Stanton. They were both charged with minor in possession of alcohol, along with two 14-year-olds, one from Red Oak and another from Villisca.

During the processing of the teenagers, a parent arrived at the sheriff’s office and became belligerent, yelling and swearing in the presence of the juveniles.

Despite being warned, she continued to be disruptive and was taken into custody.

According to the release, Colleen Terry, 45, of rural Red Oak was arrested on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
