Hardware Hank negotiating with Office Depot
PLYMOUTH, Minn. — United Hardware, the wholesale distributor for Red Oak’s Hardware Hank, is negotiating detail and terms of a contract with Office Depot.
According to a press release provided by Red Oak Hardware Hank owner Mark Jackson, the agreement would allow the local store to offer Office Depot’s full catalogue of 54,000 office products.
Negotiations include the private label Office Depot-branded merchandise to be sold inside Hardware Hank stores, as well as name branded office products.
Based out of Boca Raton, Fla., Office Depot operates 1,200 retail office supply stores predominately in cities and urban areas.
United Hardware is a worldwide wholesale distributor to more than 2,000 locally-owned Hardware Hank stores and affiliates in the United States and overseas, providing products, retail programs, and support services to independent retailers.
Jackson’s Hardware Hank has been a member of United Hardware since 2004, and is located on the north side of Fountain Square Park in downtown Red Oak.
The store offers a full line of office products as well as hardware, sporting goods and gifts.
