Harold E. Duncan, 75
Harold E. Duncan, 75, died on June 24, 2009, at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Harold Eugene Duncan was born Feb. 13, 1934, in Indianapolis, Ind., the son of Charles Franklin and Ruby Ellen (Crawley) Duncan.
Harold was drafted into the United States Army and served from 1956 to 1958. On June 9, 1956 he married Donna Bess Lindamood in Shenandoah. This union was blessed with two children, Linda and Mike.
Harold and Donna lived at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. while he served in the Army. Then they moved to Indianapolis until 1959. At that time they moved to Shenandoah where he has resided since. In 1965 Harold and Donna purchased Olsen’s Drug Store. They owned and operated the business until 1981.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Donna; a sister, Wilma Pellum; a brother, Charles Duncan and a sister-in-law, Vonna Gilbert.
Survivors include his children, Linda (Rodney) Oto of Northfield, Minn., Michael (Lisa) Duncan of Sioux Falls, S.D.; four grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Murl (Gil) Gilbert of Shenandoah.
Memorial services were held on June 29 at the Kirsch Funeral Chapel in Shenandoah with Rev. Karen Bash officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Shenandoah.
