Class 1A, Region 6: Timberwolves, Viqueens advance to regional semifinals

Southwest Valley advanced to the Class 1A, Region 6 semifinals with a 25-9, 25-12, 25-17 sweep of Lamoni last Wednesday in Corning.

“Lamoni picked up balls well from our outside hitters tonight but our middles stepped up and took control,” said Southwest Valley coach Lisa Sparks. “It is neat to see all our hitters taking turns each night with the team high. We have options and that creates a great offense.”
