Titans end Tigers’ season in regionals

Council Bluffs Lewis Central defeated Red Oak 10-1 in the Class 4A, Region 2 opening round Thursday at Iowa Western Community College.
The Titans (30-9) collected seven hits, including a solo home run from Aubree Davis in the first inning in the victory over the Tigers.
Mackenzie Nailor and Cami Damgaard had two hits and drove in two runs each for Lewis Central.
Emerson Coziahr went the distance for the win in the circle, allowing four hits and one earned run while striking out eight.
Lizzy Baucom led Red Oak with two hits and an RBI.
Red Oak ends its season with a record of 4-25 overall, including an 0-18 record in the Hawkeye 10 Conference.

Red Oak closed its regular season with an 18-0 loss to Denison in Hawkeye 10 Conference softball last Tuesday.
Norah Huebert and Addison Francois combined to allow two hits and strike out seven in the victory. Huebert was credited with the victory.
Avery Bock had two hits and drove in three runs and Lauren Herrig had two hits and drove in two runs.
Alexis Joint and Haylee Joint each singled for Red Oak.
