Howard W. Ward, Sr., 74 of Grant, died March 8, 2010, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.

Howard Wayne Ward, Sr., the son of John W. and Anna M. (Nelson) Ward was born July 30, 1935, in Wiota.

Howard is survived by his wife: Barbara Ward of Grant; children: Scott A. Ward of Columbus, Neb.; Christina M. Turnbull of Red Oak; Howard Ward, Jr. of Essex; Deb Helm of Stanton; and Sandra Wright of Council Bluffs.

Howard was cremated and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
